PILOTED BY 1ST LT NORMAN LANDBERG CRASHED JUST AFTER TAKE OFF

DUE TO MECHANICAL FAILURE IN WHICH

TWO CREW MEMBERS PERISHED

 

IN REMEMBRANCE OF THE SERVICE AND SACRIFICE OF

NAVIGATOR 2ND LT WALTER S LAMSON AND GUNNER PFC LEONARD L SMITH

OF THE 8TH USAAF AND IN HONOUR OF THE 36TH BOMB SQUADRON

RADAR COUNTERMEASURE UNIT AT CHEDDINGTON ST 113
