Heroes Of Our Time

Extremely elaborate gilded altar screen with canopy surmounted by angels of the Apocalypse and dove of peace in Wymondham Abbey. One of the largest works of Sir Ninian Comper.

This was dedicated in 1921 as a war memorial to the fallen heroes of WW1, although the gilding was not finished until 1934.
